Citizens for the Advancement of Community Development (CACD) is a Registered Charitable Organization dedicated to transforming the lives of BIPOC Youth between the ages of 10-24. Since 2002, we have been transforming communities through our unique programming that empowers youth to develop the skills necessary to thrive as active, self-sufficient members in the Region of Peel.

Canada Helps is a registered charity that provides other registered charities with fundraising tools so that we can focus on our mission and administration.

Established in 2002 by Ron and Sonia Cunningham, Citizens for the Advancement of Community Development (CACD) works predominantly with youth (those aged 10-24) from critical areas in the region, offering them a wide range of innovative programs that server their unique needs, develop leadership capabilities, and fosters civic participation.

At heart, we ensure that CACD provides effective programs and services to youth for character and skills development, leadership, and active citizenship. We established hat their voices and opinions are essential, considered, and heard. We stress that they are a vital, integral part of their community.

Through a safe and supportive environment with a caring team, CACD provides socio-emotional support, academic development, skill building, and community outreach to children and youth to enhance resilience and decrease risk.
